This app is a voice translator. It offers instructional phrasebooks, audio lessons, and tip sheets on local etiquette too. It is best for business travelers because it allows users to contact a human translator through at an additional cost. You can ask help from the translator for as short as 30 seconds.

It has 23 languages, ranging from Arabic to Vietnamese. Obviously, such a powerful translation app is not free of course. It costs $9.99 per month. Fortunately, there is a free version with limited phrases, but the phrasebook and tip sheets are available for free.

iTranslate

This is another voice translator with a slow audio playback to allow users listen to the pronunciation of the translated words or phrases very well. You can also save translations for recurring reference. Translations are fast and accurate too.

There are as many as 92 languages, 27 with voice translation provided. It doesn’t have the offline capability, though and it costs $4.99 per month.

Google Translate

For the budget traveler, this is the quickest go-to resource that’s for free. Yet it is a comprehensive enough tool that translates what you have written from any language to another target language of choice. There are as many as 90 languages included. It also offers audio translation to help users with the right pronunciation.

There are also those added feature wherein you can listen to both languages, as well as read the spoken and text translations for both sides of a conversation.
