We don’t know about you, but here at Offcloud we’re sticklers for getting things done on the go! If there’s a way to get things done while we’re waiting for a meeting, or in a queue, then we’ll do it! Of course, having a couple of handy pieces of tech and the right software (or mobile applications) goes a long way to helping us be so productive, and today we’re going to be talking about some of the things we use to get things done in the hope it’ll inspire someone else and get everyone freeing up their time by working while they wait!

Writing Documents on the Go

Accessories
If you’re perfectly comfortable tapping way at a touch screen to get things done then you don’t need this section, but if you prefer something a little more tangible, like we do, then you’ll need a couple of accessories to help you get things done. Why not try:

• The Mini Bluetooth Keyboard for the ultimate in portability. This tiny keyboard fits in your pocket and works just with your thumbs. They’re compatible with most devices through your Bluetooth connection and are a breeze for getting things done on the go.
• The fold out keyboard for if you need something a little more sturdy. The fold out keyboard becomes something more akin to a regular keyboard once unfolded and connected, and is a great option if you’ve got a bit of desk space to work with to help you get productive.
• The keyboard/stand case is perfect for those of you who want to protect your device and maintain the functionality of a keybord. Of course, it’s perfect for working on the go!

What about software and applications?

For netbooks, notebooks, and small laptops you can simply write on your usual word processor, rather than downloading anything else. For those working on tablets and mobile devices, though, you might need an app or two! Perfect for any device is Google Docs, as it saved to the cloud frequently and allows you to access your work from any device. Microsoft Word also comes in the form of a nifty little mobile app that is surprisingly intuitive.

Don’t forget your cloud storage, either! Of course, we recommend Offcloud (shameless plug!), but Dropbox isn’t a bad alternative.
