The Future of Technology

Technology is changing each and every day. Every day people are making new discoveries, finding new ways to use older technology, and adapting and updating to make things better. There’s not all that much that can’t be done from your computer or smart phone, and better technology is being fit into smaller and smaller spaces with each new advancement; who knows where technology could be going? Today, we’re going to talk about where we see technology going to in the future. Whether in five years, or five hundred. Today is all about the future of technology!

The Future of Technology

Technology how we know it today is a relatively new advancement in the world of science. Not two hundred years ago a steam train was impressive to people, and today we’re vying for faster and faster travel, equipped with wireless internet access and the ability to move around the country (and even to other countries) in a smaller amount of time every few years. Communication has come on leaps and bounds also, from the old telegram machines to instant messaging, traditional postal letters to Skype and FaceTime. With these advancements in mind, is there anything we can’t make happen with the right technology?

So, where do we see technology being in the future? We anticipate that the components that make up our devices will become smaller, but there’s a strong likelihood that the devices themselves will be bigger (in particular mobile phones and tablet devices). The power will be undeniable, certainly! We hope that space travel will be able to become more adventurous, we might be able to make it to planets further and further out in the solar system; make contact with life on other planets, and maybe sustain human life on other planets, too. With regards to space travel in particular, we hope limits will be expanded, and we can learn so much more than we already know – improving ourselves as we do so!

We have high hopes that technology will become more friendly to our earth, to the point where we can start combating global warming and working towards repairing the damage that has been done to the planet – maybe even restoring our depleted resources until we’re at a more stable level.

Of course, at this point it’s impossible to say exactly where technology will be a few years from now, even, let alone far in the future. One thing that is for certain, though, is that if the rate of improvement and innovation continues at this pace, it’ll be beyond even our wildest dreams.
