Should YOU use the cloud?

Because so many of us use a huge range of devices in our day to day lives, use of the cloud has become far more predominant than it was even just a few years ago. Although plenty of people happily embrace this technology and are glad of using it to make their lives a little bit more convenient, there are still people who aren't the biggest fans of the cloud and would prefer not to use it.

Because so many of us use a huge range of devices in our day to day lives, use of the cloud has become far more predominant than it was even just a few years ago. Although plenty of people happily embrace this technology and are glad of using it to make their lives a little bit more convenient, there are still people who aren’t the biggest fans of the cloud and would prefer not to use it.

As our service is cloud based, we thought we’d talk a little bit about who should use the cloud, and who will likely benefit from it in their day to day lives. If this is something you’re thinking about yourself, then just keep on reading!

Should YOU use the cloud?

  • If you use lots of devices day to day then making use of the cloud will be beneficial to you. You can download updates and extra content, and store any important information that needs to be transferred from place to place.
  • If you take lots of photos then using cloud storage can not only free up your physical storage, but it’ll allow you to show them off to friends and family no matter where you are or what device you’re using.
  • If you’re low on physical storage space then transferring some data to a cloud storage space can be a great way to increase your physical storage without sacrificing content. Equally, if you still own a lot of physical media (for example, CDs and DVDs) then switching to digital files can help save literal space. Also Netflix and Spotify are fantastic cloud based services that can replace traditional media.
  • If you travel a lot, have no fixed abode or live in a tiny space, then you can keep your important documents, travel photos, entertainment and even indemnification documents in a cloud storage network to access anytime and anywhere. Cloud storage could completely change the way you live.

Of course, if you don’t feel comfortable storing your information and documents in the cloud and prefer a traditional storage method then that’s absolutely fine, too, but just remember there are definitely options!
