5 Creative Projects to Start this Summer

1. Start a Blog

Whether to document your summer, write about something you’re interested in or just use it as a diary, starting a blog is a brilliant creative pursuit that’s suitable for all manner of people. Even if you’re not particularly talented as a writer, you can start a photo blog, or a place to showcase the art that you create – whether it’s digital or by hand. The possibilities are endless, and there are so many potential blogging platforms. Here’s some advice on starting a blog.

2. Write a story
Most of us have a story to tell, whether it’s our own or something we’re creating from scratch. Writing is a very therapeutic way to relieve stress and feel better about yourself, so telling a story is a lovely pursuit to take up during the summer! You can make it into a novel, a short story or even a piece of flash fiction, but whatever you do, make sure you enjoy the process!

3. A scrapbook
You can do this digitally or physically, but a scrapbook is a lovely way to record memories and have somewhere to put your photographs and memories of the things you’ve done over the summer. There are plenty of ways to create, and you can absolutely use your imagination.

4. A photo-blog
Whether you use an actual blog for this or just turn an Instagram account into something that tells a story, it’s a brilliant way to share your creativity and tell a story. All you need is an internet camera and a phone!

5. An Etsy store
Got a talent for design, or creating things? Why not try making some up and popping them on Etsy to sell to interested people? This is a lovely way to make a bit of extra money and share your talents with the world.
